Family Constellations

Developed by the German philosopher and psychotherapist Bert Hellinger, Family Constellations open us up to the unseen field of interconnections and ancestral influences. Simple but hidden truths can be revealed and understood, giving new insight and opportunities for change and movement.

The focus can be about family, work, relationships, finances, personal projects, or any significant thing that you would like to unravel and understand a bit more of its inner mystery. This approach looks at your specific personal issue as an element within a larger system. By opening it up to a wider context it enables a shift where you can see things in a different light and from a whole new perspective.

Family Constellations can be brought into any session and often are something that just emerge when the time feels right, or it may be the specific approach that you would like to work with from the outset.

Exploring the historic ‘entanglement’ through the lens of systemic constellation work can offer insight and illumination that allows a natural healing to occur. This then can restore the natural flow to our daily lives.

Comprehensive Resource Model

The Comprehensive Resource Model® (CRM) is a neuro-biologically based, affect-focused trauma treatment model which facilitates targeting of traumatic experiences by bridging the most primitive aspects of the person and their brain (midbrain/brainstem), to their purest, healthiest parts of the self.  This bridge catalyses the mind and body to access all forms of emotional trauma and stress by utilizing layers of internal resources such as attachment neurobiology, breathwork skills and somatic resources, our connection to the natural world.

The sequencing and combination of these resources provide the opportunity for difficult emotions and pain to be stepped into and felt fully while the client is fully present and aware, moment to moment, which changes how the memories affect the person.

The use of this model can be brought into the sessions at any time, and it also may be a way of working something that you are specifically wanting to engage with. You can read more about this approach on the official CRM website

Inner Somatic Connections

Inner Somatic Connections describes a way of working together in which you are encouraged to tune into what is being felt within your body. This immediately brings the focus into the present rather than the stories and descriptions which all come from the mind.

You are encouraged to be fully present to whatever is arising within you and to allow it to be felt fully. Often, we want to distract ourselves or avoid what we are feeling, so this approach gently steers us back to ourselves. It supports us to take responsibility for what is being activated within us and to let go of any external conflicts, judgement, or blame. As we do this fresh insight and a new perspective about our current situation can emerge.

This way of working happens quite naturally and is generally woven into most sessions organically.
